How YTMP4 handles copyrighted material

YTMP4 doesn't keep a library of video or audio. A link goes in, the source video on YouTube gets read, and a file comes out the other side. Nothing from that exchange stays on YTMP4's own servers afterward, so there's no stored copy here for a takedown notice to remove.

If your copyrighted work was converted through YTMP4

Since nothing persists on YTMP4's end, removing a video from YouTube itself is usually the step that actually matters, and YouTube runs its own copyright process for that. Still, if you believe a specific video infringes your copyright and want YTMP4 to stop reading it, send a notice to the address below and it will get reviewed.

What to include in a notice

Send the following to [email protected]:

  • Your name and contact information
  • A description of the copyrighted work you're claiming
  • The YouTube URL of the video you believe infringes it
  • A statement that you have a good faith belief the use isn't authorized
  • A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you're authorized to act on the copyright owner's behalf
  • Your physical or electronic signature

If you think a notice was sent in error

If you're the uploader or rights holder of a video named in a notice and believe it was sent by mistake or misidentifies your content, write to the same address and explain why. YTMP4 doesn't store or remove files on its own end, so there's no stored copy to restore, but what you send still gets reviewed and answered.

Changes to this policy

This policy can change as the site changes. Continuing to use YTMP4 after an update means you accept the current version.
